Land Lighthouse
At the foot of Lighthouse Street on Erie's east side, the Land Lighthouse is Erie's oldest. The structure
was built in 1818, the first lighthouse on Lake Erie. It was replaced in 1856 because of foundation problems. In 1867 it was replaced again, 200 feet east, using the existing stone structure.
