Presque Isle State Park is Erie’s premier attraction, attracting millions of visitors each year. Where is the Bayfront Convention Center located?
Opening in August 2007, the new Bayfront Convention Center is located at the foot of Sassafras Street (1 Sassafras Street Pier) directly west of the Bicentennial Tower and the new Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel (coming in 2008). Are there any hotels on the water?
At this time there aren’t any motels or hotels directly along the water, but one overlooks the lake (Lakeview on the Lake www.lakeviewerie.com

There are 2 buses per day to and from Pittsburgh. One leaves at 6:30am from Pittsburgh and the other leaves Pittsburgh at 6pm.
There are 7 buses each day that run Cleveland to Erie starting at 6:50am until 10:45pm.
There are 7 buses each day that run Buffalo to Erie starting at 8am until 11pm.

There are 3 lighthouses in our area. Two are on Presque Isle State Park: Presque Isle Lighthouse between beaches 8 and 9 and the North Pier Light just north of the Coast Guard station off of beach 11.
The third lighthouse is the Land Lighthouse on Lighthouse Street 1 mile east of downtown Erie on alternate Route 5 (East 6th Street), north on Lighthouse Street.
Where is the closest airport?
Erie International Airport/Tom Ridge Field is just minutes away from downtown Erie and is served by four major airlines (US Airways, Northwest Airlink, Continental Connection and Delta/Comair).
